Beer bottle vases

Why go out an buy a vase when you can turn a used beer bottle into one? Okay, so It's probably not for everyone but I love the idea.

There are so many different ways you can paint and decorate a bottle, but these two are super easy.

First off..if you're going to paint a bottle make sure you clean it and remove the labels. If you're wrapping it with yarn, the labels don't really matter.

The first one I spray painted a Budweiser bottle.pretty simple. I used a brand called touch n tone. Worked great. I haven't found a spray paint that doesn't, so any brand should do. I added a piece of flowery lace around the neck to make it look more girly

The next one (a Smirnoff bottle) I wrapped in yarn and the face is made from felt.

I only glue the yarn at the top and the bottom, because it would take all day to glue every strand down..and it's just not necessary. I did the best I could on the face. I'm definitely not an artist :).

Halloween yarn vase

Have a plain old vase laying around? Wrap it with yard to give it a unique look! I used a squared vase that I've had it a box for about 6 years.
First I flipped it upside down and glued a couple small sections so it holds.
Then I just wrapped until I got closer to the top and glued some more (glue the sides or back so It's not noticeable). I used a hot glue gun but some people prefer elmers glue and to glue every strand on...which is not necessary and very time consuming.
I decided it would look cool with some orange yarn..its not in any specific pattern. Have fun with it and experiment. I glued the bottom end down then when I had a pattern I liked, I glued down the other end.
I had some extra webbing and fake spiders left from last year so I added those in, as well as the flowers.
